1. Introduction

Welcome to Mount Elevate by Everest Engineering ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). We provide an educational technology SaaS platform for businesses ("Customers") to facilitate learning, course administration, and performance tracking for their employees or authorized personnel ("Authorized Users"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our platform.

2. Our Role in Data Processing

For the purposes of data protection laws (such as GDPR or CCPA), our Customers are the "Data Controllers" of the Authorized User data uploaded to or generated within the platform. Mount Elevate acts as a "Data Processor" processing this data strictly on behalf of our Customers according to their instructions and our Terms of Service.

3. Information We Collect

  • Customer Information: When a Customer creates an account, we collect the organization's name, billing details, and the administrator's name, email address, and contact information.
  • Authorized User Information: To grant access to employees, we process names, email addresses, job titles, or employee IDs provided by the Customer or the User.
  • Performance & Usage Data: We collect data regarding course progress, assignment submissions, quiz scores, platform interactions, and time spent on modules.
  • Technical Data: We automatically collect IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, and device identifiers through cookies and similar tracking technologies to ensure platform functionality and security.

4. How We Use the Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain our platform.
  • To track educational progress and provide analytics/reporting to the Customer (the employer).
  • To process billing and payments.
  • To provide technical support and respond to inquiries.
  • To monitor and improve the security and performance of our platform.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:

  • The Customer: Authorized User progress, assignment data, and performance metrics are visible to the respective Customer (the employer) who controls the account.
  • Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist us in operating our platform (e.g., cloud hosting (like AWS, LiteLLM), payment processors, email delivery services).
  • Legal Compliance: If required by law, subpoena, or other legal processes.

6. Data Retention

We retain Authorized User data for as long as the Customer maintains an active account with us, or as otherwise instructed by the Customer. Upon termination of the Customer's account, we will delete or anonymize the data in accordance with our agreements.

7. User Rights

Because we process Authorized User data on behalf of the Customer, Authorized Users seeking to exercise their data privacy rights (e.g., access, correction, deletion) must directly contact their employer (the Customer). We will assist the Customer in responding to these requests.
